For the first time in school history, the Eagles of Mt. Pisgah Middle School have made the volleyball district playoffs! Coached by Tiffany Anderson and Beth Luster, the team earned its spot in the playoffs with an impressive 7-4 record. Team Captain, Taylor Woody, has assisted the teams efforts with a trademark powerful serve that opponents have struggled to return. Assisting offensively, Amber Fulton has distinguished herself as a strong server and an agile thinker on the court. On defense, Samira Agbewonu has developed into an excellent pass receiver who averages two kills per game with assistance from setter Joeisha Williams. The Eagles are the underdogs in a playoff series that includes strong teams from Booker T Washington, Westside Middle, and an undefeated Bellevue Middle. But don’t underestimate Mt. Pisgah; Eagles soar under even the most adverse conditions!
